ASSIN SOUTH: DO NOT REJECT POSTING TO DEPRIVED COMMUNITIES - EDUCATION DIRECTOR TELLS GRADUATE TEACHERS.


The Director of Education in the Assin South District of the Central Region, Mr. Ransford Appiah has appealed to graduate teachers to accept posting to rural communities where their services are needed greatly.

Speaking with Wassaman Insider Newspaper, he noted that the main problem in Assin South was teachers' refusal to accept postings to the area which he said is hurting quality education delivery.

He acknowledged that despite the challenges the directorate has achieved a greater feat in the education sector.


He, therefore, called on all newly trained teachers to accept posting to the area since his outfit and the community at large are very friendly and ever-ready to assist them to make their stay memorable.


He also appealed to all stakeholders to help them bridge the student furniture gap to help improve quality education.

He made the statement during the celebration of Education Week in Assin South.


Meanwhile, the Assin South District Coordinating Director Mr. Stephen Awuku Nenegbe, who represented the DCE, Hon Felicia Amissah Ntrakwa at the program reiterated the Assembly's commitment to revive the abandoned school projects including GETFUND projects into life again.


Consequently, Nana Barfour Agyei 'X' the Krontihene of Assin Praso and Assin Jakai respectively admonished parents not to shirk their responsibilities towards their children but focus on training them properly in addition to providing them their needs for them not derail from the correct life path.
