480 BED CAPACITY BOYS DORMITORY COMMISSIONED AT FIASEMAN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

A 480 bed capacity boys Dormitory has been commissioned at the Fieseman Senior High School (Fiasec) in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the Western region. 


The over 2.7 million Ghana Cedis GetFund  project also has facilities such as 20-seater Water Closet, 32 shower cubicles, a mechanized borehole, among others.

Hon. Benjamin Kessie, the MCE for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, commended the Government, the  MP and the western regional minister for their hard work and continued support to the development of the Municipality.


He admonished the Headmaster and Management of the school to ensure proper management and maintenance of the facility.

Hon. George Mireku Duker, the Member of Parliament/deputy minister for Lands and Natural Resources, said government is not only focused in paying students school fees, but also ensuring that the needed infrastructure that will serve the various institutions are constructed.

He added that, government is determined to propel Ghana to a greater hight, and will therefore ensure the free SHS policy is not cancelled. "We are going to continue with it to ensure that Ghanaians are adequately trained and schooled".

Hon. Duker further assured the people of Tarkwa-Nsuaem that the construction of Tarkwa-Agona main road, which is currently ongoing, will be completed by the end of the year, 2024.


He also revealed that the construction of town roads in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality will begin in a week time. 


Construction of Benso-Bonsa and Esuoso-Tarkwa roads are also expected to be completed before the end of the year 2023, the Law maker added.


He also used the occasion to wish the final year students who are writing this year's West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) a success.


Addressing a gathering of the students, the school authority, security personnel and the media as well party supporters, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah said, Government believes in the people of Ghana and  will continue to invest in the right projects for secondary education.


He therefore urged the students to take their studies seriously to gain more support from the government.


Mr. John Kofi Saighoe, the Headmaster of the school, was thankful to the government for the continuous support to school, and further appealed for a fence wall to be constructed, a new school bus to replace the old bus and adequate teachers' Bungalow to maintain discipline in the school.
