The Odikro of Anomakokrom under The Wassa Fiase Traditional Area Nana Kojo Berchie II has expressed his  desatisfaction on an ongoing project which is a trench passing through the suburb of The Anomakokrom community which separates them from The Nsuta community.

Nana Kojo Berchie II in an Interview with Nana Amoakoh on Pure Fm's "Oman Nkoso" Show stated that "I was called by One Mr. Assafuah from the GMC' s Community Affairs Unit on Monday 8th August, 2022 about the above stated pit where I went with him and other elders to watch the project.After my visit to the scene, I realized the pit was too deep to sustain and support the lives of the people around the area especially the kids so I called One Mr. Onuawontor to come over so that we can know how best to solve the situation from getting mild but he didn't listen to my suggestions. 

This made me think they are not willing to listen to we the traditional rulers of the community so I went over to report the whole issue to The Divisional Police Commander for witness sake should in case something happens. In fact all that I want the GMC to do now is to close the pit and come over so that we can sit on the matter and solve the issue at hand because I do not believe that is the best way to go by if People are encroaching into your land" Said the Chief of Anomakokrom.

Nana Amoakoh the host of the Program went over to interview the Assembly Member of the Nsuta Electoral area Hon. Thomas Awortwe and he said he is aware of every steps taken by the GMC he believes it is all because The Community are going overboard by encroaching into the lands of GMC so that is what the Mine by Management decision has planned to do to save their land from Encroachment.

From the above narrations, Callers from the aforementioned community and surrounding communities around also expressed their concerns in which most of them are feeling much scary about the pit which could cause a danger to them. So most of the community members too are calling for the closure of the pit.

The Oman Nkoso team is still following for the development of the whole situation on the ground now,any development will be heard out.
