AMENFI WEST EDUCATIONAL DIRECTOR PUSHES FOR PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY ON CHILDREN'S EDUCATION.

The Amenfi West Education Directorate has organized a Municipal Reading Festival for lower primary schools in all in its catchment area.
Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Solace Osei Appiah used the occasion to charged parents and teachers to up their game in the upbringing of school children in lower primary since it is the foundation of their academic future.
She maintained that it is the responsibility of parents to provide their wards with learning materials while teachers also act on their duties to augment quality education.
Mrs. Solace Osei Appiah gave the advice at the maiden edition of the Reading Festival at asankrangwa.
Explaining the rationale behind the event, she said, this will help the kids to take reading very serious since it is the foundation of academic performance.
The Reading Festival were arrended by Chiefs from Asankrangwa and kwabeng Divisional Areas. .
Nana appiadwaa, the Abusuapanin of Asankrangwa also encouraged the pupils to take reading serious and practice it frequently in their bid to pursue quality education.
He therefore praised the education Directorate for such a wonderful event organized for the kids and asked them to do it periodically for the academic wellbeing of children in Amenfi West.
