ROADS IN WASSA AMENFI EAST MUNICIPALITY IN DEPLORABLE CONDITION

Roads in the Amenfi East Municipality are among the poorest roads in Ghana. It's been soo many years since Citizens of Amenfi East have been crying for better roads to aid them in their daily activities 

One town which has had it roads never tarred since creation is Wassa Domeabra, a popular town in the Municipality. Anytime we enter the rainy season , the people of Domeabra begin to finds solutions to their road in order not to make their works difficult.

Over a year ago, the government of Ghana, through his representatives in the municipality sent contractors to work on the road but wasn't done to the expectations of the people. 

Since the rain start d in about some weeks ago , things have been very difficult for the people of Domeabra, especially on market days. 

Small scale miners  in and around the municipality are also reasons as to why the roads are in its current state. 

According to information, the particular place that has made travel difficult for the people of Domeabra is where on man called Owusu is having his small scale mining. 

According to the people of Domeabra, Owusu has blocked the channels through which the river flows, and so anytime it rains heavily, it passes over the blockage and passes through the road. 

When it happens this way cars are not able to pass through to the town which becomes a worry for them.

Speaking to one of the youth in the town he said,

 " I am surprised at what this Owusu guy is doing here, because of the money he has got he doesn't respect anyone and so he is doing what he  wants. 

How can you block the channels of the river? If the chief doesn't come to speak about this we will demonstrate against him to be overthrown because he has nothing good to offer us. 

He has been the chief for more than ten years but has done nothing important for us".
