AMENFI WEST MP DASHES GHC 10, 000 TO SAMREBOI YOUTH

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Amenfi West constituency, Hon. Eric Afful has made a cash donation of Ten thousand Ghana Cedis (Ghs10,000) to the youth in Samreboi to fund various developmental projects through their own initiative. 

The donation was made on behalf of the Honourable member by the constituency Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Hon. Gilbert Nyame who doubles as the Assembly member for Asankran Breman electoral area.

Other NDC executives present were Deputy constituency secretary , Mr. Solomon Blay and Mr. Sarfo, the deputy constituency treasurer.

The money is to be spent on projects that would serve the youth and the surrounding communities at large. Gilbert Nyame advised Samreboi Youth to work in unity and  accountability to the communities in the usage of the cash.

"Hon. Eric Afful is committed to making all communities stronger by providing material and financial resources to fastrack development initiatives in education, health, sports and Recreational centers, among others, He maintained. 

Hon. Nyame further stated, "It is in the public knowledge that all government’s statutory obligations anchored by the Constitution including MP's Commond funds are in arrears. But that notwithstanding, the MP is determined to champion any developmental projects that is geared towards bringing relief to his constituents"

The youth assured the MP of their readiness to collaborate and strengthen the strong ties between the communities in the constituency by organizing inter-community fun games. 

Background 

The cash donation was a response to the youth's request to Hon. Eric Afful to support them financially to construct a standard volleyball pitch, complete an abandoned public toilet facility, secure a mower, a recreational center for football loving youth to watch games, and to support community football teams in Samreboi and its catchment areas in preparation towards a planned MP's inter-community gala.

The youth representatives present asked the MP's delegation to extend their gratitude to the Honourable member of Parliament for the quick response to their request
