Illegal minners invades Tano Nimire Forest at Adjuom in the Aowin Suaman District in the Western Region of Ghana.

According to reports, the illegal minners (Galamseyers) currently operating on Compartment 161 (Concession) which belongs to a well established Timber and Plywood Company in Africa, Samartex Timber and Plywood Company Limited.

Wassaman Insider Newspaper in a recent interview with Samartex Timber and Plywood company forestry planning manager, Mr. Danso Samuel and Mr. Solomon Fosu, forestry officer indicates that, this is the second time these illegal minners have invaded into the forest.

They continued and said, these illegal minners runs to hide anytime they hear the approach of Taskforce and Petrol team by Samartex timber and plywood company.

Mr. Solomon Fosu, the forestry Officer said the illegal minners escaped leaving Six(6) excavators, Container houses and other mining equipments behind.
