TARKWA NSUAEM MCE EMBARKS ON COMMUNITY VISITATION.

Hon. Benjamin Kessie, the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive, begun his quarterly routine community visits in some of the communities in the Municipality on Tuesday, 16th August 2022.
The visits forms part of the MCE's open doors policy to engage with the citizens as key stakeholders in the development process.
The Presiding Member of the Municipal Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Gado and Co-ordinating Director, Mr. Frank Ernest Odro and some Heads of Departments were among the Chief Executive's team to visit the communities.
The Chiefs and people of Mahamo and the Yayaho communities were the first to be engaged with by the MCE and his team.
Addressing the community and the media, the Presiding Member explained the concept of the decentralization policy as per the Local Governance Act 2016, and in accordance with the 1992 Constitution of the Republic of Ghana. Hon. Emmanuel Gado urged the communities to to seek for redress to challenges confronting their areas from the the Assembly members, the Chiefs and Unit Committees through to the Municipal Chief Executive and the Assembly.
He further indicated the composition and role of the Public Relation and Complains Committee (PRCC) of the Assembly which is to mediate and resolved conflicts issues relating to the assembly and its sub-structures.
He discouraged members from seeking for solutions to their issues through the media instead of using the PRRC.
Nana Kwabena Gyan II, Chief of Mahamo and Chairman of the Tarkwa Divisional Sub-Chiefs, thanked the MCE and his team, and requested for support to enable the Mahamo community complete a self-help initiated Maternity Ward project under construction.
Hon. Kessie who was impressed over the community's efforts, pledged 100 bags of cement to be donated by the assembly in support of the project. He added, that the assembly will continue to channel necessary efforts at tackling their challenges presented before him.
The visit which is part of the 2nd quarter activities of the MCE is expected to cover many communities across the Municipality.
