WRITE TO US IF YOU CANNOT PERFORM ON YOUR CONTRACT - WESTERN REGIONAL MINISTER TELLS CONTRACTORS IN WESTERN.

The western regional minister Kwabena Okyere Daako Mensah has asked contractors in the western region who cannot perform on their contracts to write to the government if they have given up. 

This is because government is oblige to pay interest on delayed payments of contractors.

He said this during a commissioning ceremony of a storey boys dormitory at Huni-valley in the Prestea Huni-valley Municipality of the western region.

The western regional minister Kwabena Okyere Daako Mensah continue his speech by revealing that government has awarded over 2000 kilometres of roads in the western region only waiting for the contractors to to deliver with their tender but it seems some contractors are not up to their tasks and soon the appropriate action will be taken.

Hon. Okyere Daako Mensah also added that, government, by the law and the contractors signed by contractors, government is oblige to pay interest on delayed payments of contractors so the business of which contractors make it seem like government is not  paying them to work is neither here nor there.
