Samreboi Generally, I believe we need to understand and educate our people ( Youth ) it's unfortunate that most of these guys think galamsay is an alternative to unemployment, so why will people stop teaching to enter into galamsay and not money rituals?
Salary does not match the economic demands so a trained teacher who is to trained our kids to be protecting our environment for our generation and the unborn once now doing the teaching but hiding behind same youth he had thought and destroying the environment, the cocoa and food crops lands in the country.

Galamsay destroys a million generations let us educate ourselves.
We have to be very responsible and environmentally conscious okay?
The problem is the politics attached to galamsay.

Most of the political actors are quite on galamsay because of the circumstances surrounding it.
Most have lost to moral rights to openly speak ro the issue nor be working on policies to stop this environmental crisis.

Some used the fight as an opportunity to win votes in an election and so others are now scared to stop it but join hands and forces to destroy our water bodies and forest reserves.

It's a shame.
Samreboi Development Platform Concerned Samreboi Youths Association Ghana Environmental Advocacy Group CHED Samreboi District Samson Anyenini, Erastus Asare Donkor, Elizabeth A Vaah, Rev father  are among the few people who have  been very outspoken and questioning why a whole forestry commission can have no objection to mining.

Mining in the forest reserve is gradually a normal practice in ghana and Africa. minimal commission now issue prospecting permit without following up.

But sadly they issue to people to go and be mining in forest reserve under the hand of the very forestry Commission.
Who has been on the known for protecting the forest as their core mandate?

This is no joke river, Tano, other Rivers, and streams are gone. Go and see the Hectors of cocoa farms affected not even the ones that we're sold out to these illegal miners.

Galamsay has existed for decades now so why did our generation come to see River Tano
We need to help our Self and not blame the politicians alone in this crisis.

The Mineral commission and the Forestry commission if full of Graduates, PHDs MPhil graduates who are well educated individuals yet the love of money has corrupted most of them.
No geological survey has been conducted.
No official engagement with the Chiefs.

Just the smart approach of identifying the easily accessible people in the community that will sell their integrity for money and that is considered as community consultation.

We should be very mindful that the forest have contributed to the cocoa climate, our quality rainfall pattern all is because of the existence of the forest.
