Hon.Barbara Oteng-Gyasi Supports Tertiary Students in Prestea-Huni Valley.

The President of Wassa Hemaa Foundation *Hon. Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi* has provided financial assistance to needy but brilliant tertiary students within Prestea-Huni Valley Municipality for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The total amount of about Twenty Thousand Ghana Cedis ( Ghc20,000) was disbursed to the selected students towards payment of Course/ Hostel fees. The beneficiaries included a Pharmacy student of Cape Coast University from Prestea, Two (2) Engineering students of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) from Prestea and Koduakrom, University of Mines and Technology (UMAT) and Cape Coast Technical University students from Atwereboanda and Huni Valley amongst others.
The extension of support to students in the pursuit of Tertiary Education was initiated during her tenure as Legislator and has been continued under the Wassa Hemaa Foundation Tertiary Support Program to offer partial financial assistance towards the payment of admission/ course and hostel fees to enable brilliant but needy students attain tertiary education.
It is envisaged that many more students will be assisted as the Foundation obtains additional funding for the program.
