FIVE-MEMBER SCHOLARSHIP ADVISORY BOARD INAUGURATED AT ZEBILLA

Dr John Kingsley Krugu, the Founder of the Butt-Tis Buuri Scholarship Fund at Zebilla in the Bawku West District has inaugurated a five-member Advisory Board to facilitate activities of the fund.

Members of the Board include Rev Edward Ayamba Abuki, Chairman, Mr Bismarck Issifu Bugbilla, Secretary, while  Mr Churchill A. Ayindana , Madam Georgina Apinpanta and Madam Gilberta Akuka are members.


Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr Krugu said the scholarship fund was established to provide support to less privileged residents in the District to pursue higher education.

He disclosed that he and his wife donated an amount  of GHȻ100,000.00 as seed capital to the fund, and appealed to members of the public to  generously donate to the scholarship secretariat to achieve the intended purpose.


He said the fund, when later launched, would provide financial support to students and apprentices in the District to enable them complete their courses and skills successfully.

A former Member of Parliament for the area, Hon Frank Fuseini Adongo, thanked Dr Krugu for the initiative.

Rev Abuki on behalf of the Board, thanked Dr Krugu for the initiative and pledged to work fairly and accurately to ensure brilliant but needy students benefited from the fund.
