The swearing of oath by Mr. Kwaku Korang as the new Divisional Chief of Asankran Kwabeng in the Amenfi West Municipality could not materialize as Divisional Queen mother, Nana Akua Ayaa II failed to attend the ceremony.
Having agreed as custom demands, Nana Akua Ayaa II would want another rightful family member ascend the Divisional throne of Asankran Kwabeng.
She wanted a the Successor to the late Nana Gyamfi Amoanu II still come from the late Chief's family line, a decision traditional history and customs abhors. Monday 3rd July, 2023, which was slated for the swearing in of the new Divisional Chief, known in Private life, as Mr. Kwaku Korang turned black at Asankran Kwabeng as Divisional Queen mother, Nana Akua Ayaa II would not attend the ceremony.
Subsequently, her Abusuapanin and family performed the traditional rites to destool her in public. The ceremony was attended by the Chief Linguist of Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, Omanhene of Wassa Amenfi and other Divisional Chiefs, Sub chiefs, Security Agents and people from all walks of life.
