A 25year old citizen of Samreboi in the Amenfi West Municipality (name withheld) is battling for his health after receiving jungle beatings from three of his colleagues after having been suspected of siphoning diesel, meant for production at Obuasi Danso site of Akonta Mines, a gold prospecting and mining entity.
He was subsequently left to fend for himself. His medical bills have been footed by some family members who want the company to reimburse it and compensate their Royal.
Some workers say brutal punishment is still a serious practice at mining sites for offending workers. The victim is however calling for investigation into his unfortunate ordeal.
