Teaching and non-teaching staff of the Gowrie Senior High Technical School in the Bongo District of the Upper East Region have called for the removal of Madam Elizabeth Paaga Zinye, the Headmistress of the school.
The staff in a petition read by Mr MacLean Ayamga, and presented to the Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES), alleged that Madam Zinye gagged them from expressing themselves, and accused her of appointing junior staff to certain positions over seniors.
They described her attitude as unacceptable, coupled with poor leadership style including divide and rule tactics.
The staff further accused the Headmistress of orchestrating abrupt postings of staff from the school among others, and called on management of the GES in the region to intervene in the matter.
