*Garu: Dr Thomas Anaba file to contest 2024 elections*

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Garu constituency in the Upper East Region, Dr Thomas Anaba has successfully filed his nomination forms to contest as a Member of Parliament.
Dr Thomas Anaba's forms were received by Mr David Amoah,the Garu District Director of Electoral Commission. While spelling out what qualified one to contest as a Member of Parliament, Mr Amoah, the District Director of EC assured him that the process would be transparent and fair.



Dr Thomas Anaba who was accompanied by thousands of supporters of the party in the constituency amidst drumming and dancing charged the EC to be neutral, free and fair in conducting the election. He reiterated that the NDC as a peace loving party is  campaigning on evidence, data and facts devoid of violence because those they are contesting with are equally their family members, though they found themselves in different political fraternities.
He urged his supporters to be decorous in their campaigns to avoid any incidence.

Dr Anaba further stressed that peace is a vital ingredient in development, hence the urgent need for all and sundry to live in peace and harmony with one another during, before and after the elections.
Dignitaries of the party who graced the   filing program include Pastor Luke Abugre, District chairman of the council of elders of the NDC in the Gàru constituency, executives of the party as well as the teeming supporters of the party.


He further called on all electorates to vote massively for him as the Member of Parliament for the Garu constituency and his Excellency John Dramani Mahama as the first gentleman of Ghana to avoid the loot and share and state capture being practice by the current government.
Dr Anaba reiterated that for this year's elections to be incident free, it is the duty of the electoral commission to listen to demands of the various parties more especially the NDC.
