Over 40 Cocoa Farmers at WASSA APPIAHKROM SUBRISO in the Benso Electoral area Area Within The TARKWA NSUAEM MUNICIPALITY are Crying Over The Bad Treatment From The Above Mentioned Chinese Company Who Has Taken Over The Operations of GOLDEN STAR W MINE.

Speaking To The Press, KWAME FORSON Who Is a Well Known Farmer in the area Said That, The New Chinese Company With Their Operations Are Not Being Fare to The Cocoa Farmers at all To The Extent That,He in Person Has Crushed His Cocoa of Which the Collected Beans Were Undergoing Fermentaion.Six days After The Fermentation Period,He Was Denied to go with His own Vehicle to go and Transfer The Fermented Cocoa Beans for Drying Process to Take Place.

The Collected Cocoa Beans is still Under Fermentation After 3weeks now where Most of the beans are germinating of late after he was denied by The Chief Security Officer of the mine.

He said, THE AFFORMENTIONED CHINESE COMPANY HAS SURVEYED MOST FARMLANDS in the area and are Still Negotiating With Terms of Payment three months ago . "I don't know why we Should be Stopped from going to Our Own Farms"? Asked by Mr. Kwame Forson.

The Chairman For The Subriso Development Committee And Mining MR. EK TETTEH also added that THE INTIMIDATIONS Of The Chinese Company is too much for Himself and The Farmers around so Government should come to their Aid if not they with cut down all their Cocoa Trees.

Some farmers also shared their fears of seeing flying stones in the farmlands which is a sign of danger to their lives.
