HON. FREDERICK KORANKYE COMMISSIONS SIX UNIT CLASSROOM BLOCK AND ANCILLARY FACILITIES AT WASSA MOSEASO




The Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly,  Hon. Frederick Korankye (ADWUMAWURA) has commissioned a 6 unit classroom block  and ancillary facilities at Wassa Moseaso in the Wassa Amenfi Municipality.
The project which was fully funded through the District Development Fund ( DDF) started about three years ago under Hon. Helena Ama Appiah, the immediate past MCE for Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly.

Hon. Frederick Korankye, on assumption of office pledged, not only, to start new projects but also  see to the completion of all projects which were started by his predecessors M/DCEs in line with article 35 clause 7 of the 1992 constitution of the Republic of Ghana.


The commissioning of the six unit classroom block at Wassa Moseaso   brings to two,  in six months, the number of six unit classroom blocks which were inherited by Hon Frederick Korankye and have been completed and handed over for use with the first one being a six unit classroom block at Wassa Nsuopun. Many other inherited projects including the Wassa Adjumako CHP compound, M/A Basic A- School 1 story 12 units classroom blocks at Wassa Akropong and Wassa  Saa KG block are all ongoing.

In a short ceremony  organized to commission the project, the Tufuhene  of Wassa Moseaso, who was the chairman for the occasion, thanked the government for the project and added that he was very hopeful of receiving some more projects under Hon. Korankye's leadership having heard of numerous handiworks earning him the accolade "ADWUMAWURA"

In a very short speech, Hon. Helena Ama Appiah, the immediate past MCE, urged the community to take very good care of the project  by ensuring maintenance of the building whenever it becomes necessary.

On his part, Hon. Frederick Korankye adviced parents to prioritize their children's education over everything else since formal education is the surest way to break the cycle of poverty.. He further added that,  the government of the New Patriotic Party knows the importance of formal education, hence the Free SHS flagship program which has reduced drastically the educational financial burden on parents.
The MCE donated 20 hexagonal chairs to the headteacher of the school to enable a number of pupils to have decent seating for effective academic work.

Hon.Frederick  Korankye was accompanied by Municipal Coordinating Director Mr Anamang, Municipal Education Director's Rep., Constituency Chairman of the NPP, Nana Kofi Amankwah, Miss Cynthia Nsowah , Amenfi East Constituency Women's Organizer of the NPP and Constituency Treasurer for the NPP,  Mr Isaac Boah.
