The Chief of Wassa Asikuma, Baafour Kwame Anim II is calling on government to relinquish all powers of Chieftancy to traditional Authorities and rulers to propel better community governance and development.
He believes that Ghana would realize effective local governance and development with the active participation and direction of traditional rulers as custodians of the land. Baafour Kwame Anim II was speaking on the importance of giving reverence to traditional authorities as the topic on Samreboi based Green Gold FM’s Morning Show with Sir Dr Richmond Antwi Boasiako.
He wants Stakeholder consultation with the Ministry of Chieftancy Affairs as a catalyst towards the restoration of dignity to the Chieftancy institution. He has called on all Ghanaians to support his call for the elevation of Ghana’s Chieftancy institution.
