Mrs. Elizabeth Fiagome, new Director of Education for Amenfi West, has vowed to implement pragmatic measures to help the the greening of school environments for sustainable development. She wants cleaning of school environments in the afternoons instead of the mornings to enhance personal hygiene among school children and environmental cleanliness.
Mrs. Elizabeth Fiagome was speaking on Samreboi based Green Gold FM as part of her educational tour in the municipality. “Apart from that, I shall collaborate with stakeholders in education towards achieving a totally literate Wassa Amenfi.
The education director is also hoping to help establish more quiz competitions and debate clubs in Amenfi West schools by setting up educational committees. She also promised that the Samreboï Community Day School would be operational under her tenure.
Mrs. Elizabeth Fiagome takes over from outgone education director, Mrs. Solace Osei Appiah, who has been transferred to Ningo Prampram to continue her national service.
