Acting Chief Information Officer, Mr. David Owusu-Amoah says the recent launch of a new Organogram for the Information Services Department (ISD) by Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, places his department at the apex of excellent performance for quality research in ensuring the gathering and submission of credible development information to government for workable policy formulation towards good governance.
He says measures are in place to retool and equip information workers at the various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies with the requisite logistics in definition of a new scheme of service being implemented by the ISD.
Speaking to Sir Richmond Antwi Boasiako on Asankrangwa based Royal FM's Morning Show, the Information Consultant, emphasized the importance of a vibrant Information Services Department in nation building. "My department is embarking on scientific and empirical research through the Media Division for a sustained public education to tackle the growing misinformation and disinformation in order to develop an informed citizenry for good national behavior and development", David Owusu-Amoah posited.
Through the Public Information Department , we are liaising with the Ministry of Information to organize periodic Media Capacity Enhancement Programs to help equip media practitioners with the requisite knowledge towards increasing public awareness on national issues, policies and programs.
